Recessed In Sheet Rock Wall
Typical Cabinet Shelving
This cabinet has adjustable shelves. This allows the user to adjust the shelving up and down to minimize wasted space.
Why does it look CLUTTERED?
The size of the shelf!
Deep and Wide shelves ALWAYS LEAD TO CLUTTER. Having multiple layers makes you “DIG” for items. That is why items NEVER stay in the same place.
One Row Deep Storage!
After removing cabinet, the sheet rock wall was cut out along the studs (see Youtube video). Look how easy it will be to STAY Organized!
Multiple Depth Shelves
Cut your shelf to fit your item. See how the shelf sticks out. You can use 1×4’s, 1×6’s, 1×8’s, etc!
Since we cut out the sheet rock, your items are recessed inside the wall. You get back your valuable space.
Find Stud Cut Out Sheet Rock
This wall is an outer wall of the garage. Most are not insulation (at least in Texas). Check first to make sure it is not insulated. Once sheet rock is cut out, save it to use as your back board.
Re-use sheet rock
Nail a 1×4 to the studs and set your sheet rock cutout on top of it as shown. Then install your EZStudRacks.
It’s time for the next cutout
You can always change your shelves at anytime. When you are ready, cutout the next section along the studs and repeat.
